BLUEY’S BEST
- GRANDVIEW AVENUE ($4.80)
Has been ultra impressive this prep, working his way through the grades nicely and scoring two wins along the way. He was particularly good two starts back, when he scored a dominant seven length victory at Murtoa. He’s rock hard fit now and in excellent form. Should be right there again today.
- CATAPULT ($3.70)
Has raced well so far this prep, finishing close up in all three starts but just unable to score victory yet. Last start he settled third and raced gamely down the straight for second, beating home the talented Luna Mia in the process. Looks to get a good run on speed here and should take some catching here.
- TIME RAID ($6.50)
Time Raid should give them a bit to worry about here at a nice price. He raced keenly last start and that ultimately cost him a lot of energy. The start before he sat on speed and was able to fight off the challengers, which included Luvoir for a nice victory. Both Nyami and Kutayha have plenty of upside, but they will still need to prove themselves. Time Raid was allotted 60.5kg but is aided by the benefit of apprentice Tom Sherry who claims 3kg.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- INVERLOCH ($13)
Has got mixed form around this distance, but has won over further and finished second in the Mornington Cup earlier this year over 2400m. Has been improving with each run so far this prep, and was only just outmuscled late by Irish Flame at The Valley last start. Looks ready to win now. Should get all the favours out in front and will be in this for a long way.
