Been racing well and has been improving with each start. Coming off two consecutive second placings and has been knocking on the door for victory in each of those runs. Now gets a chance to break the elusive maiden tag in this winnable race with Craig Williams on board.
- MOI CHOUX ($3.90)
Was poor first up at Echuca, finishing 7L last behind Truffle House. Bounced back with a strong all the way win the following start and then backed that up with another good run here, where he was run down in the shadows of the post. Fourth up now and should be rock hard fit. Looks right in this.
- BIG BREW ($2.50)
After beginning awkwardly, Big Brew hit the line strongly two back behind a talented field which included; Sentimentalist, Mr Quickie and Think We’re Due. Followed that up last start with a drop in distance at Sandown where he didn’t run well. That two back form is strong for a race like this and he will relish the extra distance here. Looks a great bounce back candidate.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- RED MAESTRO ($8.00)
Red Maestro looks a great value bet here with the benefit of the inside barriers. He will look to lead and could take some catching. He’s on the up at the moment, working his way through the grades solidly and coming off back-to-back wins. Up in grade here but can improve and go on with it again.
