BLUEY’S BEST
- THE BRUMBY ($7.00)
The Brumby relished the Heavy conditions at Morphettville last start, scoring an emphatic 2.3 length victory in BM62 grade. Up in grade here slightly but shouldn’t be too much harder. The Brumby does get back in his races, which makes it harder, but there looks to be a fair bit of pace up front, which should suit. Can run well again and price looks attractive.
- THE GARDEN ($2.50)
The Garden looks extremely hard to beat here after a dominant win last start at Geelong, where he won by an impressive 3.8 lengths. The lightly raced 4-year-old has been moving through the grades nicely and still looks to have plenty of upside to come. A repeat of last start should see him win this and he could still improve upon that.
- AIDENSFIELD ($3.70)
Aidensfield has been racing well this prep, but unfortunately has come up just short a number of times. He’s finished within a length in two of his races (yet missed the placings), and in the other two races, he finished in the top 3. He draws a wide gate here, but he should find this race a touch easier than his previous & looks a great chance to go close again.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
KENSINGTON RACE 5 – 15:45 AEST
- SHIVANI ($10)
The races at Kensington look fraught with danger today after over 30mm of rain fell in the past 24 hours. Shivani is one that looks to be able to handle the wet well however; she debuted on Heavy ground and ran quite well, and her only other rain-affected run was a 3 length victory at Warwick Farm. She looks an attractive price at double figure odds and can go close here.
