Savvy Legend looks a great chance here after a promising start to his second prep. He was good over 1400m first up, finishing second behind Astero at Newcastle. Followed that up with a good win last start, sitting up near the pace and proving too strong. Third up today and should be primed for this. First go at 1900m, but has the scope to improve.
CRANBOURNE RACE 7 – 15:55 AEST

Obi has been a model of consistency this prep, finishing in the placings in all four of his runs. He is yet to score a win this prep though, but gets a great chance here. Last start, he was hampered early and became unbalanced, but still managed to finish just over a length away. He is racing at his home track here and looks the one to beat.
CANTERBURY RACE 6 – 16:20 AEST
- CONFESSED ($3.10)
Like the look of Confessed here, who is third up and ready to win again. She was impressive when winning last start, losing position around the turn before peeling wide in the straight and proving too strong late. She looks like she will relish the step up in distance here and should prove tough to beat.

So Able can be competitive here. The 9-year-old gelding has been plugging away without finding much success in recent times, but has had excuses in his past couple. In his last two starts, he was wide throughout and failed to finish off the race over distances further than this. He drops back in distance slightly here and should be able to find a good spot in the run. Just over six months ago he should have won at Mornington in this grade. Outside chance.
