BLUEY’S BEST
FLEMINGTON RACE 4 – 14:45 AEST
- PERFECT WORLD ($4.20)
Midweek racing returns to Flemington and I think Perfect World can kick us off to a good start at headquarters. She has raced extremely well this prep, but has unfortunately found one better in her past three runs. She draws wide here but should be able to cross easily. She looks ready to break through and today might just be the day.
CANTERBURY RACE 4 – 15:10 AEST
- MR MOSAIC ($2.45)
Mr Mosaic has only had four career starts and looks to have a ton of upside left after an impressive first up return at Warwick Farm, where he scored a dominant 3 length victory over Akasaki. He should be able to lead them again here, and should take improvement from that first up victory. Looks hard to beat.
FLEMINGTON RACE 7 – 16:30 AEST
- IMPI ($4.60)
Impi had been a punters horse early in his career, but notably went down as a $1.90 favourite during the Flemington carnival last year. He was then spelled for 300 days, and only returned last start at Bendigo where he put in a brave return, racing three wide without cover. That return was encouraging and I’m confident he can return to form here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
FLEMINGTON RACE 5 – 15:20 AEST
- YULONG STORM ($13)
Yulong Storm has made a meteoric rise through the grades this prep, winning in BM58 first up before recording another two wins rising in grade both times. Last start he ran at Swan Hill in BM78 grade and was narrowly defeated by 0.3L with a further 3 lengths back to third. That suggests that he has well and truly handled the rise in grade thus far and despite this being harder again, he might be up for the challenge.
