4. MASKED CRUSADER ($1.80)
Masked Crusader was pencilled in to run on Saturday, when he was well backed but failed to make the final field and was scratched. He easily brings the best form into this midweek feature. His main competition here is Kiata, who won impressively at Pakenham on debut. She looks smart but Masked Crusader should have the edge on her here.
BENDIGO RACE 6 – 15:55 AEST
4. YULONG CAPTAIN ($3.00)
Really like the look of Yulong Captain here, who drops back in class after a solid fourth at BM70 over this distance last start. He has been knocking on the door for a win this prep and gets another good chance here. Rock hard fit and ready to win.
CANTERBURY RACE 8 – 16:55 AEST
5. BEACH BABY ($3.80)
Impressed last start when jumping up in class from Goulburn to Warwick Farm. He led all the way on a Heavy track but was run down in the concluding stages. Draws barrier 14 here but there looks to be a lack of speed inside, so he should be able to find his usual spot up near the lead. Progressive and can take the next step here.

5. ACCOUNTABILITY ($13)
Interesting overseas runner here. Won as a $1.55 favourite in Navan in his last run before coming to Australia but was fairly ordinary when resuming over 1400m two starts back off a 207-day spell, finishing nearly 14 lengths from the winner. Improved in his second up performance at Warwick Farm to only finish 5.5 lengths away over 1600m. He could be a potential improver over the extra distance here and should take great improvement off his first two Australian runs.
