- HOLY REIGN ($3.80)
Holy Reign resumes here first up for Kim Waugh after a deep prep last time out, which lasted a total of twelve runs. He kept turning up deep into the prep, scoring two wins toward the latter half of the prep. He was also very good first up though, resuming at Wyong and narrowly missing to secure 2nd. He follows a similar lead in here, with two promising trials.
- DAILY BUGLE ($2.50)
Daily Bugle was great on debut at Pakenham, sitting midfield in a small field before unleashing a powerful, sustained sprint from the 600m mark to score by a length to Tramontana. There was a further 2.75L back to third there, which suggests the win had plenty of merit behind it. He looks promising and should take beating here.
- THE MOCKINGBIRD ($3.50)
Small field here, but The Mockingbird looks very hard to beat stepping out to 2400m. His only run beyond 2100m was in the Group 3 SA Classic, where he raced wide from the 900m mark. He should find today much easier and should get a much more comfortable run. He’s been consistent throughout the prep and is rock hard fit.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- COCO CUBER ($12)
Wide open field here and I’m siding with the ever consistent Coco Cuber for the Snowden stable. He endured a tough run first up, but has been a model of consistency since, finishing no worse than 1.7L away in each of his three runs. He scored a win fourth up last prep and looks to get the run of the race in behind the leaders. Good chance at double figure odds.
