5. ON HER WORD ($2.80)
Has only had the five career starts to date and impressively, she’s yet to miss a place. On the other hand, she only has one win, but it’s encouraging that she’s been around the mark in each race. Her last start was in October 2019, so the market could be a good indicator here. She put in an eye-catching trial at Gosford however, winning by almost four lengths, showing that she is in great order ahead of this first up assignment.
CAULFIELD RACE 4 – 17:25 AEDT
1. CHEQUERBOARD ($3.80)
Promising 3YO filly for the Dabernig & Hayes stable. She scored back to back wins to begin her career before being outsprinted by a hot field which included Cherry Tortoni third up. She was subsequently spelled and resumed this prep with an encouraging return at Bendigo. She was good last start but was up against Arabian Hussey, who toyed with the field. This race looks more suitable and she gets a great chance to notch a third career win.
CAULFIELD RACE 5 – 18:00 AEDT
9. KURABAI ($2.35)
Couldn’t have been any more impressive in her debut run at Pakenham, scoring a dominant 2.5 length win over Pouvoir De Soie. What’s even more impressive, is that there was a further 5 lengths back to third - truly a gap job. She’s a 4-year-old mare, so she’s missed plenty of racing, but can certainly make up for it now.

CAULFIELD RACE 7 – 19:00 AEDT
2. BIANCONI MAGIC ($15)
Yet to notch up a place this prep, but was good two starts back when finishing just 0.7 lengths away from Riding The Wave at BM70 grade at Ballarat. Last start he sat near last over 1000m at Sandown and just found them to be too slick. Jumps up to 1440m here which he should appreciate and it could be the catalyst for improvement here at odds.
