BLUEY’S BEST BETS - 12/05/2020

BLUEY’S BEST

WARWICK FARM RACE 3 – 14:00 AEST

  1. LAVA ($7.00)

Lava looks a solid bet here after a solid run in this same distance and grade last start. He raced at Kensington and finished just under 2L away from Alakahan and Our Bambino. Prior to that, he mixed his form, failing the start prior but also running well in other races. He isn’t a certainty, but he looks a solid chance in this field.

WARWICK FARM RACE 5 – 15:10 AEST

  1. GEMMAHRA ($2.75)

Gemmahra looks very hard to beat here for Gwenda Maxwell. The 5-year-old mare failed after a freshen at Randwick, but hit back last start, finishing half a length away on a Heavy Canterbury track after leading throughout. Prior to her freshen, she scored a nice win at Hawkesbury and she seems to have a fair bit of talent. The field here looks weak and she should be prominent in the run. Will be hard to beat.

WARWICK FARM RACE 7 – 16:20 AEST

  1. SNIPPY FOX ($3.20)

Snippy Fox is another runner who will be ridden by Campbell Rawiller here today. Snippy Fox has been racing well this prep, finishing under a length away in both of her starts. She showed her talent at the end of last prep, scoring a dominant 3L victory at Kensington. She looks primed here third up against this field and a repeat of that performance wouldn’t be surprising.

BLUEY’S BEST VALUE

PAKENHAM RACE 7 – 15:55 AEST

  1. VITANI ($17)

This race is dominated by the up and coming Kurabai, who lines up as a red hot favourite. She’s only raced twice, but won both in impressive fashion. She’s first up today and if she’s slightly vulnerable, the race becomes wide open. Vitani has been racing well this prep, scoring a solid win two starts ago before running fairly at Pakenham. A repeat of that two back run would go close here if Kurabai underperforms.
