BLUEY’S BEST
- MAGNOLIA MAN ($2.50)
This lightly raced New Zealand galloper for Busuttin & Young is having his first Australian start today. He brings some solid form into this, having won twice from just three starts (albeit in maiden grade). He has been well back early, so I’m expecting him to measure up. Should have no issues with a soft track and looks the one to beat.
WARWICK FARM RACE 3 – 14:35 AEST
- SPACE IS DEEP ($3.60)
Was brilliant when jumping out to 2000m for the first time at Kembla Grange last start. He ran a strong last 600m, which suggests he still had more to give at the end of the 2000m. He looks on the way up and should relish the extra distance here. Looks a great chance to go back to back here.
WARWICK FARM RACE 5 – 15:45 AEST
- ACCELERATO ($2.50)
Went up in grade last start to BM88 and put in a brilliant run behind Inanup to finish just half a length away. Back in grade here to BM72 should suit, plus he is rock hard fit now. Has a solid record in the wet, so I don’t see any issues with the track. Should be able to sit at the rear of this small field and run them down in the straight.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- IN GOOD HEALTH ($10)
Raced at Flemington last start and jumped at $51, however, he was able to put in a great run behind Sakura, finishing 3rd. Drops back in grade here and has run well previously in a similar grade, notably third behind Jen Rules last prep at Rosehill. He’s won at BM66 grade previously, and this isn’t all that far off. Should find this much more manageable.
