BLUEY’S BEST
- SIR KALAHAD ($3.30)
Sir Kalahad is coming off a brilliant all the way performance at Morphettville, where he relished the Heavy conditions to score by a whopping 3.5 lengths. That came off the back of two lacklustre performances, where he finished 7.7L & 5.4L away respectively. Prior to that though, he scored a 5.5L win at Sandown. It really depends which Sir Kalahad decides to turn up today, but if he brings his best, he’ll prove terribly hard to beat.
- FLASH FLOOD ($3.40)
Flash Flood resumes here after quite a long layoff, but he was very impressive in his debut prep, winning twice from three starts. He was only fair on debut, finishing third but was able to quickly improve, winning both of his next starts. I’m tipping he’s picked up some improvement during the break & can pick up where he left off last prep.
- NICCI’S SONG ($3.70)
This 900m dash should be an interesting race, with a number of speedy runners engaged. Nicci’s Song isn’t the fastest horse out of the gates, but she looks to get the run of the race in behind the leading division, who may be caught in a speed battle. Nicci’s Song was impressive last start at Goulburn, winning by over 3 lengths. She looks a great chance again here.

- FOUND OUR THRILL ($16)
This lightly raced Waterhouse/Bott trained mare looks a great candidate to step up and improve here today. She resumed last start after a 418 day spell and didn’t miss a beat, sitting in fourth and proving too good in the straight. She takes a step up in class here, but certainly has the scope to improve. As most Waterhouse/Bott runners do, she’ll go forward here & might run a race at odds.
