ROSEHILL – RACE 7 1300m 17:50 AEDT
DESTINY’S OWN ($3.20)
Was lugged with 62.5kg here but gets in with 59.5kg after the apprentice claim which looks key. Has been racing in harder grade than this and has run admirably, finishing within a length and a half in both runs this prep. Will appreciate the drop in grade here; the last time he raced in this grade he scored victory at Warwick Farm.
SANDOWN – RACE 4 1300m 18:00 AEDT
LA LUCCIOLA ($4.40)
La Lucciola can take another step here after scoring a nice all the way victory last start coming off a 186-day-spell. She should take great improvement from that run second up here and looks very talented. There looks to be a lack of speed inside her so she should be able to cross with relative ease and find a nice position in the run.
SANDOWN – RACE 7 1800m 19:30 AEDT
PETRUCHIO ($2.20)
Overseas staying import who has been good so far in his first Australian prep. In his first run he finished a narrow 0.6L third at a bog track over 1400m before jumping to 1600m at Seymour for a 0.2L 2nd. He looks absolutely primed third up and should enjoy the jump to 1800m – a distance which should be relished by the import.

ROSEHILL – RACE 3 1900m 15:30 AEDT
READABEEL ($13.00)
Small field but there looks to be a little bit of pace in the race which should benefit Readabeel, who scored her second career win last start at the Gold Coast. Despite only having two wins from thirty-two starts, her last run was her first start at 1800m or beyond and it was a 5 length win (albeit weaker class). Stays at a similar distance here and with only 50kg after the claim he looks a solid value bet.
