CAULFIELD – RACE 6 1700m 16:30 AEDT

Hasn’t scored a win for some time but has been racing super consistent and is due a victory. First up returned brilliantly as a $17 outside at Group 3 level for a narrow defeat, and then followed that up ast start, where he put in another great run yet was nailed right on the post by Future Score who again lines up here but could be flat second up. Looks close to a win and happy to stick with him here.
CAULFIELD – RACE 7 1200m 17:10 AEDT
EF TROOP ($2.40)
Ef Troop jumps from barrier 2 here so should have little trouble finding his usual on speed position. Scored a solid win last start at Morphettville when ridden by Barend Vorster, who sticks on here today. Seems to have returned in good order and has the class to comfortably defeat this field if firing.

CAULFIELD – RACE 4 1200m 15:10 AEDT
FLOSTAR ($10.00)
Has been hit and miss so far this prep, either putting in an eye-catching run or running well below expectations. Two starts back was strong winning at Seymour by 3 lengths and then subsequently raced at The Valley and failed as a $2.40 favourite. She raced with 60kg there and I like her here as a bounce back candidate from that run with a more respectable 56kg.
CAULFIELD – RACE 2 1400m 14:00 AEDT
WEDGETAIL ($3.80)
Consistent horse who has returned well from a 235-day spell, finishing second and first in his two runs back. Was brilliant last start, running on speed for most of the race and scoring an easy 3.25 length victory at Geelong. Comes up in grade here but should be able to get a gun position in the run and can go to a new peak.
