Bam’s On Fire comes into this after going down as favourite in his two starts this prep. Whilst that doesn’t bode well for backers in those runs, both runs were solid and had merit. Carries 59.5kg after Poy’s claim and has a clear class edge on this field. Expecting him to run well again here.
CAULFIELD – RACE 7 1400m 16:40 AEDT
CONQUEROR ($3.10)
Conqueror has flown under the radar in his past couple, with the Colt running in Black type races during his past four runs and performing solidly in them. Last start nearly broke through in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas but was just outdone behind Pretty Brazen. Drops in grade here and gets his chance to break through.
RANDWICK – RACE 8 1550m 17:40 AEDT
WORD FOR WORD ($1.90)
Word For Word has been a model of consistency throughout her career, only missing a start once in eight starts. In that start where she missed a place, she finished only 0.5L away. Rawiller keeps the ride here and he should be able to get into a gun position near the lead. Should prove tough to beat and should be right in the finish.

GALAXY RAIDER ($14.00)
Galaxy Raider looks primed for a strong run third up here. Last two starts has finished behind the in-form Yulong January – form which bodes well for this race. Has ran well previously third up and should be rock hard fit here. Maps toward the back but should be a solid tempo. Looks a solid each way chance.
