- GRAND PROMENADE ($2.50)
Has gone from strength to strength this prep, working through the grades nicely and stringing together four wins on the trot now. Was particularly impressive last when caught wide, yet surged to the lead and scored a tough victory over Reflect the Stars. Rock hard fit here again and looks hard to beat in the first.
- QUICK THINKER ($2.50)
Has improved with each run so far this prep, and ultimately now brings some hot form into this race behind the supremely talented Funstar and Probabeel. She was only 2.8L away from those last start which bodes well here. Last prep was solid at this distance behind some talented types also, including Shadow Hero and Castelvecchio. Should be very hard to beat here.
- SCARLET DREAM ($5.50)
Was very impressed with her return last start over 1600m. She hit the line nicely, particularly in the final stages. She was solid last prep in some strong races and will be far better suited at this distance. The tempo here looks to be solid and she can hit the line well again here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- RAINBOW THIEF ($17)
Rainbow Thief is up in class here but has talent and has put together quite an impressive prep. He’s finished in the top 3 in four out of five runs so far, including a win. Was good last start, despite being beaten - he was last rounding the turn and hit the line well to be beaten under half-a-length. Race sets up nicely here for him and he looks like a solid outsider.
