BLUEY’S BEST BETS - 26/12/2020
BLUEY’S BEST
- ZOUSHINE ($3.50)
Will Price claiming 3kg here for McEvoy should prove beneficial for Zoushine, who has returned in stellar form after a short freshen. She scored by a dominant 3 lengths over Daily Spirit at Morphettville, and despite that in weaker class, she’s shown she can mix it with some quality types. Looks on the up and can get another win here.
- BIGBOYROY ($3.80)
I think the top two in the market will fight it out here, and I’m leaning towards Bigboyroy after a somewhat below par effort from Frosty Rocks last start at Eagle Farm. Bigboyroy had plenty left in the tank last start at Rosehill, disappointingly held up until the 120m before flashing home to finish less than half a length away. Going great this prep and has the edge on Frosty here for mine.
- THAT GIRL ($3.00)
Looks incredibly hard to beat here after an impressive return first up at Pakenham. She was in a hopeless position rounding the turn before sprinting quickly to finish second and in the process, recording the fastest last 600/400m of the meeting. She maps toward the rear of the field here, but there looks to be some tempo engaged, so she should get her chance to finish over the top of them.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- PANCHO ($10)
The top two in the market here; Tavidance and Paradee, look terribly hard to beat, but I think there’s a chance for an outsider to run well here in the Waller trained Pancho. He’s been racing well this prep, finishing close up in nearly all of his starts. That effort finally culminated in a victory in the Kilmore Cup over Tavidance in his latest start. There’s no reason why that can’t be repeated today.
