BLUEY’S BEST
- ART CADEAU ($3.20)
Has quietly put together an impressive short career, with two wins and a further six placings - amazingly, all of them in second place. Some may see these seconds as an issue, but for me, he’s competitive in all of these runs, so there’s plenty of merit there. Has been given a freshen since his last run, where he ran well again to finish second. Looks a great chance today.
- ULYSSES ($3.70)
After a strange tactics change first up at Warwick Farm, when he was ridden upside down, he has been almost faultless. He has scored two great wins and finished a length away in his other run. He looks to get a great run in transit today and should be incredibly tough to catch here.
- GRINZINGER ALLEE ($2.50)
Was superb first up when resuming at Caulfield. He raced ungenerously throughout the middle stages and was shuffled back to eighth at the 400m mark before finishing off encouragingly to go down by a neck to Rule The World. He should take improvement from that run and if he can settle better here, he’ll prove very hard to beat.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- FANTINI ($12)
Lightly raced runner who has one win to her name from just five career starts. Last prep, she had only one start at Moruya and finished just half a length away. This prep, she trialled well before resuming at Coffs Harbour on a Heavy track and attempting to lead throughout. She fought on bravely for second but was no match for The Neon Knight. Has been kept ticking over since, with a soft trial in between runs. Could surprise here.
