BLUEY’S BEST BETS - 20/11/2020
BLUEY’S BEST
- LIGHTHOUSE ($2.25)
Punters will be looking to get the day off to a winning start and I think Lighthouse should provide a nice way to do so. The Maher/Eustace runner was having her first ever Australian run at Kyneton last start and couldn’t have been anymore impressive, winning by a whopping 4L on the rain-affected track. She’s displayed talent overseas, so that was certainly no fluke. If she can simply match that performance, she’ll be incredibly tough to beat here.
KEMBLA GRANGE RACE 1 – 12:20 AEDT
- SHIBLI ($4.40)
Tipped Shibli last week, but was unfortunately scratched - which may have been a blessing in disguise, as Mightybeel scored a dominant victory. The Waller trained Shibli looks well placed here and will look to build on his current form, in which he has won three out of his last four runs, with his only miss at Randwick, where he was blocked for a run and also pulled up with poor post-race recovery. Keen to stick with him again.
KEMBLA GRANGE RACE 5 – 14:40 AEDT
- SELBUROSE ($3.80)
The Waller trained Selburose resumed last start at Rosehill in impressive fashion, leading handily for most of the race, only to be run down on the line by Katalin. She held the rest easily (over 2L) and will certainly be much fitter coming into this. James McDonald on board is a big tick and she shouldn’t have too much pressure up front again. Ticks a lot of boxes and looks a great chance.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- SCORE ($14)
Score hasn’t been at her best in the past two preparations; she had just one start last prep and failed, finishing tenth out of eleven runners. In the prep prior, she was solid & even scored a win, but was not at the level she was before that. At her best, she can certainly match it with this field and has shown she can race well first up in the past. She is a risk, but she’s worth a bet at the long odds.
