BLUEY’S BEST BETS - 20/02/2020
BLUEY’S BEST
- WOLFE ($3.70)
The Waterhouse/Bott trained gelding has returned well from a freshen, running brave seconds in both of his runs. Last start was taken on at the 1400m mark by the eventual winner, but fought on very gamely despite this. Wolfe looks to get a great run in transit here and should prove very hard to run down.
- IMPECUNIOUS ($3.00)
This New Zealand trained Filly has shown a lot of promise so far in her short career. She was a shade disappointing on debut, but was spelled and returned a winner. She was then spelled again before crossing the ditch & winning at Caulfield in impressive fashion. She’s been given a quick spell since that December run & now returns here. She’ll take beating.
- SACRAMENTO ($2.30)
Talented horse who has been in serious form this prep. In his first up run, he sat wide without cover early on and put in a strong performance to finish just 0.7L away from Amica. He then went on to score a narrow, but impressive victory second up over New Arrangement & backed it up the following start with an even more dominant performance. He should get a good run here and there's no reason why he can’t run well again.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- JIGSAW ($15)
Put in a tremendous run last start in the Colts/Geldings prelude behind General Beau, who starts much shorter here. Jigsaw sat three wide without cover and still managed to stick on for third. Draws a much better gate here and should be much shorter in the market in my opinion, particularly with question marks over favourite Enthaar.
