- SUPERIUM ($3.30)
Last prep, Superium had been racing on rain affected tracks and had some solid races, but for mine he’s clearly much better on a firmer surface. In his past four runs on Good tracks, he’s finished no worse than 2.1L away from the winner, also scoring a win at BM74 grade. He was solid first up and perhaps a touch unlucky. He’ll be improved here and should be hard to beat.
- PERFECT RADIANCE ($3.10)
Was narrowly defeated last start after being very badly held up during the straight. He only other loss came on Heavy ground behind Peltzer last prep. Looks to get a perfect run just behind the leader. She brings a ton of upside into this and can make amends for her bad luck last start with a win here.
- HOMESMAN ($3.80)
Liked Homesman last start but he was simply far too gassed at the end of the race after leading throughout last start. He’ll take some improvement from that run and faces an easier field here, which could prove the difference. He was only beaten 2.65L last start, so he’s still in top form for this. Should be right there in the finish.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- TIME RAID ($41)
Favourite Vadiyann is first up here and although he scored first up last prep, he’s had a 328 day spell and could be underdone here. Time Raid scored a nice win two back in BM72 grade, leading all the way at Kensington. He was up in grade last start, leading them along and finishing just 4 lengths away from Accountability. He looks to get a great run in behind the leaders here and I’m expecting him to run better than his price suggests.
