FLEMINGTON RACE 1 – 12:20 AEDT
- QUANTUM MECHANIC ($2.75)
Great chance to start the day in winning fashion with the talented Quantum Mechanic, who has been racing very well this prep. She was okay first up, but took great improvement from that in her next two, finishing under a length away in each run. She was unlucky not to win one of those & now gets a great chance here.
FLEMINGTON RACE 4 – 14:05 AEDT
- COOLTH ($2.50)
The lightly raced Coolth is the one to beat here for mine after a putting in a blistering sprint to score at this track last start. He sat midfield on the rails and took a while to get going, but once he did, it was all over. Still has plenty of upside to come and looks a great chance again here.
- VERRY ELLEEGANT ($3.40)
Caulfield Cup winner Verry Elleegant resumes here over what would seem an unsuitable trip of 1400m, however she’s shown in the past that she’s extremely versatile. She won the Group 1 Winx Stakes over 1400m first up last prep, so even though this may not be her Grand Final, I think she’s good enough to take care of this field.

- KING MAGNUS ($14)
King Magnus has been in imperious form since returning from a spell. He kicked off the prep with back-to-back wins at around $20, and is yet to finish further than 1.55L away from the winner in all of his seven runs. He won again last start in a tough effort and in this open race, he looks a great chance to run well again at a big price.
