Confident we can kick off the day’s racing at Randwick with a win through the talented Splintex who has been running well this prep. First up finished half-a-length away from Superium in this grade before heading to Gosford and putting in a strong run to finish a length away in the Guineas. Should put in another solid run here.
FLEMINGTON – RACE 4 1100m 14:53 AEDT
WAGNER ($2.80)
Talented Godolphin runner who was luckless last start when going down as a $1.65F at The Valley two weeks ago. Prior to that was far too strong first up, defeating Lagerfield by a length-and-a-half. Gets his chance to atone here in a small field down the Flemington straight.
FLEMINGTON – RACE 6 2000m 16:08 AEDT
FUTURE SCORE ($3.30)
Has been racing in brilliant form this prep, coming up trumps against Odeon first up with a scintillating finish at Pakenham, before then running at Caulfield, just failing to reel in the same runner in his next start for a second-place finish. Has been hitting the line furiously so he should appreciate the extra distance here and looks a great bet.

GOLD COAST – RACE 3 2400m 14:25 AEDT

Favourite The Candy Man has been racing in terrific form and is hard to knock, however I think maps awkwardly here and looks under the odds. Kubis looks like a great value bet here and most likely will gain benefit from getting an uncontested lead. He finished 4L away from The Candy Man last start but can improve on that margin here.
