RANDWICK – RACE 3 1300m 13:15 AEST
TRUE DETECTIVE ($2.60)
Extremely talented 3YO Colt who has been extremely unlucky in his last two runs, going down by the narrowest of margins both times. Put in a quality run last start despite settling at the back. I think he’ll be suited back to a Good track and with McDonald on board should prove tough to beat.
RANDWICK – RACE 7 1400m 15:45 AEST
HAPPY CLAPPER ($4.40)
This is, no doubt the race of the day, and I’m confident that one of Winx’s main rivals can take out the race named after her. Happy Clapper has trialled twice leading into this so I’m confident he’ll be raring to go for this. Despite the class of some of the other horses in this race, Happy Clapper exudes a class edge over them and will be extremely hard to beat here.
MOONEE VALLEY – RACE 8 1200m 16:45 AEST
TERBIUM ($3.00)
Up & coming talent who was unbeaten up until recently, when he went down in the Group 2 Euclase Stakes at Morphettville. Wasn’t helped by the pattern on the day but still put in a decent run despite that. Prior to that, could not fault his form and I’m expecting him improve again this prep. Expecting him to put in another solid run here first up.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
RANDWICK – RACE 6 1200m 15:05 AEST
DREAMFORCE ($12.00)
This is a little short of his best distance, but he can still figure here. Raced in terrific form last prep, finishing within a length of the winner in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile in his last race, as well as scoring a win in a Group 3 race two starts prior. Has had two solid trials leading into this and looks a great chance at odds here.
