Race Speed
Look for a quickly run renewal of the 2018 Missile Stakes with many runners looking for the lead in the early stages. Among those pushing forward will be Showtime and also The Monstar. Music Magnate and Takedown are a chance of being caught wide from their gates, but could also push for the lead in the early stages. The favourite Kementari should be able to get a nice spot on the rail about midfield from the good barrier. She Will Reign and Egyptian Symbol are likely to be the backmarkers.
Key Runners
Resuming from a spell, but if returning anywhere near last preparations peaks will be extremely tough to beat. Draws a nice barrier and frantic pace up front could be a benefit. Looked good in recent jumpouts.
Pierata ($4.00)
Resumes from a 5-month spell, last prep was beaten by Kementari twice, although hampered in the Guineas when beaten 1.5L. Ultra-consistent, but has a tricky draw – McDonald on board is a big plus and a definite player.
She Will Reign ($9.00)
Like many other runners in the race, She Will Reign is first up today – which has never been a problem for the filly in the past as she has won 4 out of 4 previous first runs. Might be a tricky barrier, and her best might be on softer tracks, but is definitely a huge chance on best form.
Race Selection
Back Kementari with confidence. If Kementari brings the same form from last prep he will take some serious beating. Barrier a huge plus. Will give you a good run for your money.
