Winx will be looking to make it 28 wins on the trot and add to her already impressive resumè which includes 21 Group 1 wins. Winx is also looking to make it back-to-back wins in this race – it really looks like it will be the Winx show again in what should be her final start before the Cox Plate! Other winners of the Turnbull Stakes include; Makybe Diva, Northerly and Sunline.
Race Speed
Tempo in the race should be good here with Trap For Fools likely to set them off with a moderate tempo. Jon Snow could use the inside to his advantage and challenge for the lead also. Grunt should also push forward from a wider barrier. Bowman will likely be off the rail out the back on Winx to ensure the mare has clear running.

- GRUNT ($13.00)
Returns to the scene of the crime where she was far too strong in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes. Was below par when leading them in the Underwood, but looks to be more suited off a slightly slower pace. Will be looking to bounce back, but shouldn’t be any match for Winx.
- WINX ($1.16)
The mighty mare returns here after demolishing them yet again in the G1 Colgate Optic White. Gets out to her best distance here which should help her even more! Bowman just needs to get here out and it should be a copy/paste of her last 27 wins
- KINGS WILL DREAM ($12.00)
Has been excellent so far this prep, hitting the line strongly in all three starts in races below his ideal distance. Will enjoy the jump to 2000m and should be strong again late here – barrier 1 could be a negative. Doubt he challenges Winx, but looks to be the best of the rest.
