Sandown Race 2
I’m going with Suburbia from the Maher/Eustace yard again this week. I just think he is due for a win and his run two weeks ago at Bendigo was good when he was beaten by a first starter who looks to be pretty smart.
He’s by O’Reilly so the more distance you give him the better and 1800m should be no problem.
Darren Weir’s Jennibeel will also be thereabouts. She stormed home at her last start at Ararat and was only beaten a nose. That run was over a mile and suggests she will handle the extra 200m fine.
Tip: Suburbia $4.20/$1.70
Sandown Race 3
I really liked the win of Peter Gelagotis’ Grey Khan last start at Geelong. It did a lot of work early in the run and raced on the speed at a very strong temp but still won convincingly.
This race is only 45m longer than his last start, so I don’t think distance will be a factor and his confidence will be high after his win.
Limeshow ran on well over the mile last start and was only narrowly beaten so she could go on with it here and get the win.
Tip: Grey Khan $5.50/$1.70
Warwick Farm R4
The Chris Waller and Hugh Bowman partnership with Miss Shanti in this race has caught my eye.
She was too far back last start but managed to make up a lot of ground on the winner who lead the whole trip.
She also has form behind a smart galloper in Savacool and she doesn’t look like she will be at all phased by the 2130m trip.
Tip: Miss Shanti $2.70/$1.35
