Darren Weir trained colt who has been close up in his last few starts. Has been especially impressive in recent runs, particularly last start at Flemington when stormed home from the rear to finish third. One of the horses that beat him there went on to beat Long Leaf. Strong form around him.
Randwick - Race 7 1550m 16:20 AEDT
GRESHAM ($2.20)
Looks primed to score a win here after two narrow defeats in his last two runs at Randwick. Was beaten by Penske and Tip Top respectively and will have only improved from those runs. Should be peaking here and looks a deserved favourite.
Caulfield - Race 8 1400m 17:20 AEDT
MASTERING ($1.90)
Has returned well this prep, scoring a dominant 6 length victory at Kilmore over Exceltara before running second last start at Flemington. He was beaten by a freakish performance by Usain Bowler that day and they gapped third. Looks well here.

Resumes here off a long spell but could strike a knockout blow. Has a terrific fresh record (5: 2-1-2) and also the class which could be the key. Wins at Flemington back in June were impressive and if he can reproduce some of his best form, he looks a great value play.
