Was beaten a lip last start at Moonee Valley as the red hot favourite ($1.65 - $1.50), but before that she showed future Group 1 talent with fantastic wins. I have no doubt had that photo gone her way last start she’d be favourite here. Confident she will return to her previous efforts and we are getting a nice price to find out either way.
Randwick - Race 4 1100m 14:00 AEST
REDZEL ($1.80)
Returned to the winners circle last start when stalked Invincible Star and proved far too strong late. Many of the same runners line up again here today with the edition of English, so I’m more than happy to stick with Redzel again.
Randwick - Race 5 1400m 14:35 AEST
PIERATA ($3.10)
3 from 3 in the colt’s career early, including a Group 1 last prep! Looked to return well in recent trial and will no doubt be looking to add another picket to the fence. Has come up trumps against runners in this field on numerous occasions and looks very hard to beat.

Flemington - Race 4 1400m 14:15pm AEST
THE AUGUST ($8.00)
No doubt the favourite Brutal will be tough to beat here, but I expected more from the unbeaten colt last start. He did quicken nicely in the end, but it took a little longer than you’d expect. The August put in a huge run at Caulfield last start and looks like he will relish the rise to 1400m. The spacious Flemington track will suit the colt and I think the price is more than generous.
