CAULFIELD - RACE 2 1400m 12:40 AEST
MANDELA EFFECT ($2.70)
In spectacular form this prep, recording 3 wins in as many starts. That takes his win total to 8 out of 14 starts, including 8 wins from his last 10 starts. He has been placed well but certainly knows how to get the job done. Looks placed well again here and if he can bring a similar level to his last start, he should get the chocolates here.
CAULFIELD – RACE 3 1400m 13:15 AEST
TWITCHY FRANK ($2.70)
Has been in superb form this prep, which has consisted of seven runs dating back to September. His worst performance in that span was a 2.3L defeat for 5th against some solid types. She is a model of consistency and has been given a small freshen up which I think is a positive. She was good on speed last start and should improve off that run.
HAWKESBURY - RACE 8 1600m 16:10 AEST
ARCHEDEMUS ($3.40)
The picket fence came undone last start when he ran into some traffic in the Provincial Championship at Randwick. He still managed to finish within 2L from Bobbing despite the less than ideal run. Prior to that his form was unflappable, notching 5 wins in a row (and a narrow 2nd). Up in class, but has been faultless so far in his career and should get a better run here, making him very hard to beat.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
CAULFIELD - RACE 4 1600m 13:50 AEST
SHANDY ($11.00)
Has only had three runs so far in her short career, but they have all been full of merit. Scored her first win two starts ago at Geelong before jumping up in class at Sandown where she looked the winner only to be run down by Big Night Out. That horse has since run 2nd at Flemington against some strong horses. Tarwin looks a good type here, but Shandy could be the big improver and run a good race at odds here.
