Sitting in 5th with a 4-5 record, this is a must win game for the Thunder. They comfortably beat the Stars at the MCG last match. Compared to early season, they have a strong batting lineup with Khawaja and Vince opening. Watson at 3 then keeps the momentum going.
The Renegades season is on the line after three straight losses. The batting has lost form without Finch as they’ve fallen short of a target in their last two matches. The bowling unit will need to take early wickets against the Thunder or this could be another loss.

The two sides haven’t met this season and the Renegades are 5-1 against them in BBL history.
Top Runscorer: Thunder
For the Thunder, it’s a tough choice between the top three. They all scored 40 or more in the last match. Khawaja is the favourite after scoring 85 in his last innings at this venue. However, we’re going with Watson as he’s paying a bit higher at $4. He’s scored 309 runs in 9 innings and the Renegades death bowling isn’t great. So he should take advantage in the latter overs.

Top Runscorer: Renegades
There’s a bit of value in the Renegades lineup without Cameron White. Tom Cooper is averaging 37 and provides late innings hitting. Harris has batted well at the top but his strike rate is lower than Cooper. Hodge is good value if the Renegades lose quick wickets. But in the end, Cooper is the best bet here.

Thunder WIN ($1.89)
At home, the Thunder can’t afford to drop this match and that should be enough motivation. They’ll take advantage of the Gades struggling bowling attack and that will be the key. The Renegades haven’t been playing well lately and it’s hard to see them improving from their last two losses.
Perth Scorchers v Adelaide Strikers

Form Guide
The Scorchers sit 2nd on the ladder behind the Strikers so they’ll be looking to knock them off. They’re undefeated at home this season and have chased down a total in their last 3 home victories. Shaun Marsh is expected back for this match and that definitely improves their batting lineup. Without Tye and Richardson, Kelly and Paris have been bowling well which is a positive sign.
Adelaide are first on the ladder after easily beating the Renegades at Etihad. But this should be a tougher contest. Their bowlers will need to restrict the Scorchers and they’re in the form to cause an upset. Rashid Khan is arguably the best spinner in BBL and Stanlake is proving hard to face. In the batting department, Alex Carey is absolutely on fire and Colin Ingram is starting to find form at the death. However, Travis Head will likely miss this match and that hurts their chances.

This will likely be the Scorchers last WACA match and that’s a huge advantage. They haven’t lost at the venue this season and will be looking to finish on top of the ladder. Travis Head is a big out for the Strikers as they were bowled out for just 112 against the Scorchers without him in the last meeting. So back the Scorchers to win this game.
