The Cats inflicted the Dockers their only loss this season back in Round 1. Can they make it two from two when they head over to Optus Stadium looking to end Fremantle's win streak?
Fremantle Dockers vs Geelong Cats
Geelong will head to WA without two of their best players in Bailey Smith and Tom Stewart, and will face the form team of the competition in the ladder-leading Fremantle Dockers.
The Dockers have won their last 12 games, with their only blemish against the Cats back in Round 1 at GMHBA Stadium.
Can Geelong make a huge statement with another win over the Dockers, or will Fremantle simply be too good at home?
Leg 1 - Fremantle
With Bailey Smith out and Jeremy Cameron looking very ginger out there the last few weeks, I just can't see the Dockers losing this.
Geelong did give Fremantle their only loss for the season at GMHBA, but the Dockers had a healthy quarter time lead before being overrun due to tired legs in their first game of the season. It was the Cats' second, featuring in Round 0.
Fremantle have strangled teams at Optus Stadium this season, winning all six games while conceding just 65 points per game, with an average winning margin of 37.2 points.
Leg 2 - Shai Bolton 20+ Disposals
I don't see Bolton being moved out of the midfield mix despite the return of Caleb Serong. We should see Hayden Young spend a bit of time up forward along with Murphy Reid, while Michael Johnson likely rotates back to the wing.
When Serong, Bolton, Brayshaw and Young were all in the team together last, we still saw Bolton attending 55-60% of centre bounces, and although he only had 16 disposals against the Eagles in Round 6, in the last three games he's played with this midfield mix he's averaged 28.3 disposals between Rounds 7 and 9.
Bolton has hit 20+ disposals in his last seven games, and he should do so again.
Leg 3 - Max Holmes 25+ Disposals
His perfect 25+ disposals record is maintained this season. Last week it was as a defender, but it really doesn't matter for Max Holmes.
With Bailey Smith out, Holmes will return to Geelong's midfield mix, and in Round 1 when the Cats played the Dockers, Holmes had a game-high 32 disposals.
I don't see anyone from Fremantle doing a hard defensive job on him, even though Brayshaw may run with him a bit at times.
Leg 4 - Jack Bowes 1+ Goals
Here's the value in the Same Game Multi. Jack Bowes failed a fitness test last week and was a late out for the Cats, but the former Sun played well in Round 13 against the Crows.
Bowes kicked two goals for the Cats, and has really become a handy half-forward for Geelong. In his seven games this season, Bowes has kicked at least one goal in five of those games, and in one of the misses he kicked three behinds.
He has kicked at least one goal in 14 of his last 19 games, with a total of 18 goals over this period.
Same Game Multi
Fremantle / Holmes 25+ Disposals / Bolton 20+ Disposals / Bowes 1+ Goals = $6.50
