AFL Round 15
Brisbane Lions vs Geelong Cats, Gabba, June 24th, 7.20pm
Cracking game to start Round 15 off. Two teams flying at the moment and are looking to lock in a top four spot. The Cats had a great win last weekend against a top four side in the Dogs. Gary Rohan goal after the siren helped them get out of jail. Tom Hawkins and Jez Cameron look a force up forward and can really destroy a team in a blink of an eye. The Cats midfield was dealt a blow last weekend with Mitch Duncan ruled out for 8 weeks with a knee injury. The Lions had a physical game last weekend against the Kangaroos but will love getting back to their home deck, the Gabba, and playing the style of footy they want to play. Daniher needs to have a big game this weekend, he's been a bit quiet, but when he gets going, he can be very dangerous. Cats by 10+ in this game. They beat the Lions at this ground last year to make the Grand Final.

Richmond Tigers vs St Kilda Saints, MCG, June 25th 7.50pm
Big game for the Tigers, here. They lost their last game to the Eagles which could be a major blow to their top four finish but as I have said throughout the year, it does not matter where the Tigers finish in Season 2021 - if they make the top 8 - they will be a very dangerous side. The Tigers will look at this game as a big percentage boost for them. The Saints, on the other hand, are going backwards. Players not performing, players look disinterested and their performance against Adelaide last week was shocking. Up by 30 points, then end up losing by 5. It's not AFL standard. I can’t see the Saints winning this game and wouldn’t be surprised if the result was a big win for the Tigers.

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Gold Coast Suns, Blundstone, June 26th, 1.45pm
What a Saturday treat we are in for when these two sides face each other. Two teams who are so far off AFL standard it is beyond a joke. The Kangaroos would honestly struggle in the VFL and you can now throw the Suns into that as well. Kangaroos do play well when they are in Tasmania and will look to pick up a win against a side that is so far off it. The Suns were smashed last weekend and their CEO has had to come out and defend them and their position in the AFL. I believe a few of their younger players will leave at the end of the year and it will be back to square one again. Kangaroos will be too strong for this young Suns side. Kangaroos by 30+

Collingwood Magpies vs Fremantle Dockers, Marvel Stadium, June 26th 4.35pm
Pies play their first game under a new coach since 2012 and it will be a weird feeling for these players as last week showed they have so much love and respect for their former coach Buckley. They come up against a Freo side who are battling with injuries and form. The Pies can really expose this young side at Marvel a stadium where they don’t play much football but can use their running power to beat the Dockers. Loved the game of Maynard last weekend and his running ability to break lines and hit up his key forwards. The Pies look a better side with Jamie Elliot in the side and if he pops up for a bag, they will win. Pies by 25+ here.

Essendon Bombers vs Melbourne Demons, MCG, June 26th 7.25pm
Looking forward to this clash come Saturday night between two old rivals and boy will this be a cracking game. Both teams in good form and this game has a lot on the line for them. If the Demons can win, they can move a step forward to finishing top of the ladder which would also set up their finals campaign. The Bombers on the other hand are flying with wins over the Eagles, a narrow loss to the Bombers and a good win vs the Hawks. This game will be a battle between the two midfields with the Demons boasting Petracca and Oliver and the Bombers with Parish and Merrett. All are massive ball winners so will have no problem racking up the footy but the way they use it will be vital. Stringer is in red hot form and fighting for a contract so expect a big game from the package. Tipping an upset and going the Bombers to expose the Demons with their pace. Bombers by 10+

Port Adelaide Power vs Sydney Swans, Adelaide Oval, June 26th 7.40pm
Another great game come Saturday night between two teams that are in the top four and will want to be staying there. The Swans have fled Sydney due to a rise in Covid cases and will base themselves in Adelaide for the coming weeks. The Power had a training run last weekend versus the Suns and will love to get back to their home ground and show a much better performance than their result last time out against the Cats. The Power need a big performance from Charlie Dixon who got back to some form last weekend. The Swans would love a big bag from Buddy who is getting back to his best. Game will be hot from the outset but the Swans love travelling away and will back themselves in this game. Swans win.

GWS Giants vs Hawthorn Hawks, MCG, June 27th 1.10pm
This game has been moved from the Giants stadium to the MCG because of a rise in Covid cases in Sydney. This is a huge disadvantage for the Giants who were looking for back to back wins and they would have had a home ground advantage playing the Hawks. Now I look at this game as a flip of the coin. The Hawks have been good over the last two weeks with a good win against the Swans and then a tough loss to the Bombers. If they bring the heat, they have brought in the last two weeks against the Giants, I believe they can win this game. Mitchell and O’Meara are really producing great workman-like efforts and if they can rack up the footy and deliver it down forward, Hawks win this. Giants need a Toby Greene performance to win this on Sunday.

West Coast Eagles vs Western Bulldogs, Optus Stadium, June 27th 3.20pm
Match of the round on Sunday - this game looks a cracker. The Eagles had their best win of Season 2021 last weekend against the Tigers when they came back from 21 points down in the last quarter to beat the premiers by 5 points. The Dogs will be looking to get another win in Perth after they smashed the Dockers three weeks ago. The Dogs are in form and so are the Eagles and both of these sides will go at it 100% come Sunday. These two sides played in Round 3 and it was tight for the whole game with the Dogs eventually winning by 7 points. If this game is as good as the last, we are in for a ripper. The Dogs need to stop Kennedy and the Eagles need to stop Naughton. Eagles could get back Kelly, McGovern, Shuey and Witherden. Mouth-watering. Clash can’t wait. Eagles are at home so I am tipping them... just.

Carlton Blues vs Adelaide Crows, Marvel Stadium, June 27th 4.40pm
I am calling it here, the Crows will get the chocolates this game and it could be David Teague's last game as Carlton coach. The side have been so disappointing over the last few weeks that you look at this side and say is there any way forward. They have a player in Patrick Cripps who would walk up start to in any side in the comp but hasn’t played a final since being a player. Why would he want to stay around? The recruits they have brought in Saad and Williams are not playing the way they thought they would have. They come up against a Crows side who are hungry and would love nothing more then to knock off the Blues. Tex Walker up forward, Sloane running riot in the midfield. Tipping the Crows to get the win.
