Round 14
West Coast Eagles vs Essendon Bombers
June 20th (Thursday 6.20pm) Optus Stadium
Thursday night footy heads to Perth for a crucial clash for two teams trying to cement their spot in the 8. The Eagles have made 6 changes with Yeo, Hurn and Masten and Allen coming back into the side. Jarrod Cameron is making his debut he is an exciting small forward who will add forward pressure the Eagles have been lacking. The Dons lose Jake Stringer through injury and that is a huge out as he ads a lot of structure to the Dons forward line. The Eagles lost this game last year by 30 points so the Dons will take a lot of confidence out of that victory. John Worsfold always seems to get his players up for this game vs his old side. I am expecting an Eagles win they have to much to play for. Home crowd advantage will also go along way in deciding this fixture with the Eagles making Optus Stadium one of the hardest venues to win at. Eagles by 30+

Eagles have won 3 out of the last 5 games vs the Dons

Sydney Swans vs Hawthorn Hawks
June 21st (Friday 7.50pm) SCG
Bad week for the Hawks with their captain Ben Stratton blasted in the media from pillar to post for his dirty tactics vs the Bombers. The Hawks will look to respond in a game that has a lot of riding on it with Buddy playing against his old side. The Hawks welcome back Jarred Roughead for his first game since he was dropped to the VFL this year. The Swans welcome back Josh Kennedy but lose Mcveigh through injury. The Hawks have a good record at the SCG winning a thriller in 2017 led by Roughead. I am tipping an upset here for the Hawks, Clarkson always has something up his sleeve for these big games. The Swans were ultra impressive vs the Eagles before the bye and if they take that form into this game they will win but it is the Hawks for me in a close game.
H2H
Hawthorn have won 4 of the last 5 games vs the Swans.

Hawks +12.5 $1.90
Hawks win $2.50
Melbourne Demons vs Fremantle Dockers
June 22nd (Saturday 1.45pm) MCG
Fremantle were brilliant last week vs the Power and one man played his best game of football ever in Michael Walters. Didn’t look like missing a set shot, his pressure was unbelievable and getting his teammates involved was incredible. If he brings that sort of game this week the Dockers will win and they will win this game well. Jesse Hogan returns for his first game against his old side and if I would be very scared if I was a Melbourne defender as Jesse work rate last week was scary. He ran for 15km as a forward most on the ground. The Demons on the other hand have been horrible this year and it gets worse with Hibbard, Garlett and Lever all out injured. They will dominate the centre as Max Gawn is a freak but will find it tough around the ground and the Dockers can expose them on the break out. Tipping the Dockers to get their second win at the MCG for the year.
H2H
Dockers have won 3 of the last 5 games vs the Demons.

Fremantle +4.5 $1.90
Fremantle win $2.10
St Kilda Saints vs Brisbane Lions
June 21st (Saturday 4.35pm) Marvel
Saints fans were very happy when they read the team lists this Thursday with the ins being Hanneberry and Carlise two players the Saints paid big bucks for and expect them to help their side contest for a top 8 finish. Hannebery is a possession ball king and was top 3 players at the Swans, many say he is past it but champions rise and he will be doing everything in his power to help this Saints side win on the weekend. The Lions need to win this game to be in the hunt for a top 6 finish and a home final. They lost to the Blues last game they played at Marvel stadium so will be looking to bounce back from that embarrassing loss. They led by 31 points at stages through the 3rd qtr to lose by 15. It is a big week for Charlie Cameron was poor vs the Blues but a solid game here will go along way in his sides victory. When he plays well the Lions go very close to winning games. Tipping the Lions by 10

Port Adelaide vs Geelong Cats
June 21st (Saturday 7.25pm) Adelaide Oval
Match of the round heads to Adelaide Oval for a cracking contest. Kin Hinckley Power coach has gone whack in the selection team dropping Powell Pepper, Ryder and Westoff it is a big statement but I like it. All three have been very poor over the last few weeks and the ins are Ebert, Wines and Dixon. Who can help this Power side get back to winning ways. The Cats have been unstoppable but have lost 8 games when coming off the bye. It will be a tough contest Saturday night in Adelaide if the Power can win this they can sneak back into the 8. If the Cats win I don’t see them dropping out of the top 2. Tim Kelly has been unstoppable and in Brownlow form so watch for the Power to try and tag him out of the game with one of their contested bulls in Gray or Wines. Tipping an upset in the Power in a close game. Dixon back gets me excited.

Cats have won 4 of the past 5 games vs the Power

Power win $2.80
Power +12.5 $1.90
Western Bulldogs vs Collingwood Magpies
June 22nd (Sunday 3.20pm) Marvel
Round 14 rounds out with a game that could both ways. Dogs got back to winning ways vs Carlton last week by 3 points. Pies have had a week from hell with one of their star players Jaiyden Stephenson caught betting on games he was involved in and has been banned for 10 weeks of footy. He is a vital asset to this Pies side his run and carry will be missed. The Pies are also without Eliott and Adams who will miss through injury. I believe it is a dangerous game with the Dogs looking for a top 4 scalp. Dogs lose Liba to injury which will be missed as he has been in great form this year. The game will be won and lost in the midfield with both teams having trouble getting the centre clearance in recent weeks. Brodie Grundy was smashed vs Max Gawn last time he played so he will be looking to get on top vs Tim English. Tipping the Pies by 20
