Port Adelaide Power v Richmond Tigers
Friday, June 8 7:50pm, Adelaide Oval
Round 12 begins with the Power hosting the Tigers at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. Both sides are sitting in the top eight and that adds extra spice to this clash. The Tigers were very impressive in Round 11 as they beat the Bombers by 71 points. In season 2018, they're scoring 102.18 points per match, which ranks 2nd in the AFL. Last week, the Power couldn't get past the Hawks in a 3 point loss. They still have a 3-2 record in their last 5 matches. But their lack of scoring (10th in the AFL) will be a problem against the Tigers strong defence. Tigers to win.
Stadium Record
This season, the Power are 3-1 at Adelaide Oval. In 2018, the Tigers are 0-1 at Adelaide Oval. Which they lost against the Crows in Round 2.
Head to Head Record
Dating back to 2010, the Tigers are 6-5 against the Power.

Tigers WIN $1.71 Dustin Martin is a withdrawal from the game which has seen Richmond drift to $2.18.
Geelong Cats v North Melbourne Kangaroos
Saturday, June 9 1:45pm, Kardinia Park
In this clash, the Cats and Kangaroos face off at Kardinia Park on Saturday. Both sides are in the top eight so this should be a close matchup. For the Cats, they crushed the Suns last week by 85 points. In 2018, they're scoring 86.64 points per match, which ranks 7th in the AFL. Meanwhile, the Kangaroos will be aiming for a 4th straight win. They recorded an easy victory in Round 11 as they beat the Lions by 54 points. The pleasing sign was Jarrod Waite was missing and they kicked 100+, but they will need him against the Cats. In the end, winning at Kardinia Park is not an easy task and I’m predicting the Cats midfield will dominate in a 1-39 win.
Stadium Record
This season, the Cats are 3-1 at Kardinia Park. This is the first match for the Kangaroos here since Round 4, 2015, which they won by 16 points against the Cats.
Head to Head Record
The Cats are 7-5 against the Kangaroos.

GWS Giants v Gold Coast Suns
Saturday, June 9 4:35pm, Spotless Stadium
Round 12 continues with the Giants hosting the Suns at Spotless Stadium on Saturday. Last time out, the Giants recorded a crucial victory against the Crows at the Adelaide Oval. Meanwhile, the Suns have a 3-7 record this season and they were smashed by the Cats at Metricon Stadium. At the moment, they look like a tired team and that’s going to be a problem here. The Giants looked back to their best last Sunday and their better players are playing well after injuries. For example, Jeremy Cameron and Josh Kelly. So Giants by a large margin on their home turf. The only 2 meetings at this venue have gone the Giants way by 102 and 91 points!
Stadium Record
This season, the Giants hold a 1-2 record at Spotless Stadium. The Suns haven't played at Spotless Stadium since Round 2, 2017 and they lost that match by 102 points versus the Giants.
Head to Head Record
The Giants are 6-4 against the Suns since 2010.

St Kilda Saints v Sydney Swans
Saturday, June 9 7:25pm, Etihad Stadium
Saturday night sees the Saints up against the Swans at Etihad Stadium. The Swans are 4-1 in their last 5 matches and they recorded a comfortable victory in Round 11 as they beat the Blues by 30 points. For the Saints, they have lost 6 straight but did show some good signs at Optus Stadium in a 13 point loss. However, they are a poor scoring team (68.27 points per match) and rank 16th in the AFL. Which will be a problem against the Swans stingy defence. The Swans also love playing at Etihad with a 13-1 overall record and they beat the Saints by 50 points here last season. So the Swans at the line here.
Stadium Record
This season, the Saints hold a 1-4 (1 draw) record at Etihad Stadium. This season, the Swans are 1-0 at Etihad Stadium. Which they won against the Bulldogs by 7 points.
Head to Head Record
The Swans hold a 10-2 record against the Saints.

Brisbane Lions v Essendon Bombers
Sunday, June 10 1:10pm, Gabba
On Sunday afternoon, the Lions and Bombers meet at the Gabba. The Bombers are looking the better side as they sit 12th on the ladder with a 4-7 record. However, they were smashed by the Tigers at the MCG by 71 points last week. Meanwhile, the Lions are 1-10 on the season. They were no match for the Kangaroos last week by 54 points. They seem to play better at the Gabba with close losses against the Swans and Magpies as well as their first win of the season over the Hawks. But in the end, I just can’t see the Bombers dropping this clash with their season pretty much on the line already. They’ve also won the last 3 at the Gabba.
Stadium Record
In 2018, the Lions hold a 1-4 record at Gabba. The Bombers are 3-0 at the Gabba since 2011.
Head to Head Record
Dating back to 2010, the Bombers are 5-4 against the Lions.

Fremantle Dockers v Adelaide Crows
Sunday, June 10 4:40pm, Optus Stadium
The Dockers are back at home and face the out of form Crows on Sunday. Both teams are just outside the top eight so this will be a key 4 points on offer. The Dockers are coming off a terrible 77-138 loss against the Magpies. To make matters worse, Nat Fyfe got suspended for a week. The Crows lost to the Giants by a margin of 16 points at home. They have dominated the Dockers recently with 3 straight wins. However, they’re struggling with injuries and the forward line isn’t clicking. So I do like the unders in a game between two struggling sides. The under is 7-4 between these two sides and 7-5 at Optus Stadium in 2018.
Stadium Record
In 2018, the Dockers are 4-2 at Optus Stadium. The Crows have never played at Optus Stadium.
Head to Head Record
Since 2010, the Crows are 7-6 against the Dockers.

Melbourne Demons v Collingwood Magpies
Monday, June 11 3:20pm, MCG
AFL football in Round 12 concludes with a huge clash between the Demons and the Magpies at the MCG. The Demons have quickly become one of the hottest sides in the AFL and the Magpies have jumped into the top eight. The key has been mainly in the midfield for both sides. For the Pies, Treloar is on fire and Tom Phillips is coming of age. The same can be said for Angus Brayshaw, Bailey Fritsch and Clayton Oliver at the Dees. As a result, the Demons are scoring 107.82 points per game, which ranks 1st in the AFL. While the Magpies are just behind them as they’re scoring 92.45 points per game. So it’s really tough to pick a winner and with both sides in-form, the overs should be the best bet. The last Monday matchup saw both sides score 100 or more points and they’re both in arguably better form at the moment to do the same.
Stadium Record
This season, the Demons are 2-3 at MCG and the Magpies are 3-4.
Head to Head Record
The Magpies hold a 7-4 record against the Demons.
