NBA Tips & Betting Preview | Tuesday 20 April

Golden State Warriors (28-29) at Philadelphia 76ers (39-17)

The Warriors 4 game winning streak ended on Sunday as they went down to Tatum and the Celtics 119-114. They'll face another tough challenge against the in-form 76ers on the road and could be without Steph Curry. Curry is questionable with an ankle injury so the Warriors will be hoping he can take the floor. However, he won't have a good matchup against a strong 76ers defence against point guards.

Joel Embiid and the 76ers are dominating at the moment after 4 strong wins. In back to back home games, they've knocked off the Clippers 106-103 and Nets 123-117. So they'll be very confident of continuing their form against the Warriors. Especially Embiid who's coming off 35+ pts in 3 straight games and he'll get a favourable matchup against the Warriors struggling front court defence.

It's tough to back against Embiid and the 76ers at the moment, especially considering Steph Curry's questionable status. They've also covered in 11 of 13 home games against the Warriors so we'll back them to continue the trend.

Stadium Record

The 76ers are strong at home with a 17-4 record in their last 21. The Warriors are 6-1 at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The 76ers beat the Warriors 108-98 this season and hold a 7-3 record in the last 10.

Best Bet

76ers -8.5 $2.00

Phoenix Suns (40-16) at Milwaukee Bucks (35-21)

The Suns come off a rare off game against the Spurs as they were crushed 111-85 and played the last quarter with their bench rotation. As such, the likes of Booker and Paul should be fired up to rebound in a primetime matchup against the Bucks. Booker and Paul should enjoy plenty of points against a Bucks defence that can leak points to guards.

Similarly to the Suns, the Bucks had a shocker in their latest game as they lost to the Grizzlies 128-115. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a bit quiet lately, mainly due to a knee issue. But he did score 47 pts against the Suns in the earlier season meeting and should be back to his best here.

In the last 2 meetings, the two sides have totalled 249 and 271 pts. As a result, we do like the Over between two teams that come off big losses and should be keen to get their offence back on track.

Stadium Record

The Bucks have struggled at home recently with a 1-4 record. Phoenix also holds a 1-4 record at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The Suns won a thriller against the Bucks in February, 125-124. But the Bucks have won 6 of the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Over 234.5 pts $1.89

Utah Jazz (42-15) at Los Angeles Lakers (35-22)

The Jazz will look to get revenge on the Lakers after a recent 12 point loss in Overtime. However, they're missing Donovan Mitchell at the moment and the likes of Conley/Gobert are listed as questionable for this matchup. So Clarkson should continue to get a bump in minutes and usage.

The Lakers have been good defensively lately, especially with a point to prove while James/Davis are on the sidelines. They come off a good OT win over this Jazz team as Schroder, Pope and Drummond all hit over 20+ points. Drummond has a nice matchup against the Jazz again, especially if Gobert sits.

After a recent 12 point victory over the injury hit Jazz, the Lakers aren't getting much love in the betting markets. Their defence is underrated and we believe they can keep this matchup close again.

Stadium Record

The Lakers are 17-12 at home this season. Utah has lost 4 of their last 5 here.

Head to Head Record

The Lakers beat the Jazz at this venue a few days ago, 127-115 and they've won 6 of the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Lakers +6 $1.85
