EPL Betting Preview & Tips | 6-7 December

Chelsea vs Leeds

The Blues will welcome Leeds to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, December 6 at 7:00am (all times AEST).

Chelsea seem to be flying under the radar this past month despite sitting pretty in third place and just two points behind league leaders Tottenham.

The Blues are coming off a stellar 4-0 win in Sevilla, with Olivier Giroud netting each and every goal to mount pressure on Frank Lampard’s selection at No.9.

If selected, the Frenchman will be licking his lips as his side turn their attention to Leeds, a club struggling to keep the ball out of their own net this season.

The Whites have conceded on 17 occasions from their 10 matches, with fellow newly promoted club’s Fulham and West Brom the only side to have a greater goals against tally.

While there will be questions surrounding their back third, you are only as good as you’re last, with Leeds keeping a clean sheet and taking all three points in their trip to Goodison Park last weekend.

The win lifted them away from the bottom three and into 12th on the table as they look to hold their place in the top flight after a prolonged period in the Championship.

The last time these two clubs tussled it out in the Premier League was in May 2004, a match that Lampard lined-up in while Chelsea ran home victors 1-0.

Leeds’ last win over the Blues came two years prior, with Liverpool veteran James Milner on the scoresheet for the Whites that day.

Marcelo Bielsa and Lampard have a fiery history in their time in there second division and we can only hope it shows up once again at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Will Leeds cause an upset? Or will the Blues continue to fly towards the top?

Tottenham vs Arsenal

The North London Derby will take place in Tottenham on Monday, December 7 at 3:30am.

Hard to think of the last time these two sides were separated by 13 places on the Premier League table the far into a season, but here we are.

The Spurs are perched atop the Premier League with just one loss to their name, while Arsenal have just as many in their last week.

The Gunners’ last league win came against Manchester United over a month ago in what seems like a distant memory, with Mikel Arteta struggling to spark confidence in his men.

To make matters worse, recent history doesn’t seem to be in favour of Gunners either, with the club failing to defeat their arch-rivals in any of their past four meetings.

The Spurs took home the chocolates in the last North London Derby and will be heavily-touted to do the same again this time around.

There seems to be no stopping Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane this season, with the pair offering as a constant threat to their oppositions goal.

While Arsenal’s backline has managed to be somewhat stable so far this season, they will be coming up against their toughest task yet.

Will the Spurs continue their glamorous run? Or will the Gunners come to crash the party?

Our Tip: Tottenham Win @ $1.90

Liverpool vs Wolverhampton

The Wolves will travel to Anfield on Monday, December 7 at 6:15am.

It has been a frustrating season for Reds fans despite the club recording as many points as top-placed Tottenham and shining in the Champions League.

Their 1-1 tussle with Brighton was boiling with controversy last weekend after a number of 50/50 calls failed to go their way and a number of players were battered after continuous congested fixtures.

Jurgen Klopp and his men will now turn their attention to Wolverhampton this week as they look to continue their glorious undefeated run at Anfield.

The Wolves have stagnated a little so far this season, sitting seventh in the top flight with five wins and three losses from their 10 league fixtures.

The Midlands club will be without their star striker in Raul Jimenez for an extended period of time after the Mexican spearhead sustained a fractured skull in his side’s win over Arsenal last weekend.

Wolverhampton haven’t defeated the Reds in the Premier League in almost a decade, and while the Reds will go into matchweek 11 with an undermanned side, they’ll remain favourites to continue their stunning run.

Klopp will have a headache having to place four in-form forwards into his front three, with Mane, Salah, Firmino and Jota all looking as deadly as ever this past month.

Can the Wolves end Liverpool’s Anfield streak? Or will it be another day at the office for Jurgen Klopp’s men?

Our Tip: Liverpool Win @ $1.50
