EPL Betting Preview & Tips | September 13-15

Liverpool vs. Leeds United

Leeds return to the top division against reigning champions Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, September 13 at 2:30am (all times AEST).

The 16-year drought is over, Leeds United are back in the Premier League. The Whites will be buzzing in their Matchday One fixture, but they will be handed a tough task in travelling to Anfield to open their 2020/21 campaign. After securing their first Premier League title, the Reds will be heavily favoured to go back-to-back in what will be one of the most competitive first division seasons for some time. Leeds were the strongest defensive outfit in the Championship last season, so expect a fiery battle between their back-third and Liverpool’s superstar attack. Some promising signings for Leeds in the transfer window but it will need to be an 11-man effort to put one past Allison in this one.  Hard to see Liverpool drop points, but 2020 has offered plenty of curveballs.

Our Tip: Liverpool Win @ $1.25

Tottenham vs. Everton

The Spurs will host Everton is an enticing opening Matchday fixture on Monday, September 14 at 1:30am.

The Toffees will be one of the most watched sides in the opening round of the Premier League with star signings James Rodriguez and Allan potentially lining up for their debuts in England. Tottenham will want to move on from their disappointing 2019/20 season and will be in high hopes for the upcoming campaign with star Harry Kane now fit and leading an exciting squad under Jose Mourinho. Everton have failed to defeat Tottenham since December 2012 but tides may turn as Carlo Ancelotti looks to steer the Merseyside club into a new era. Both defences have plenty to prove this year after inconsistent seasons in the past, with this fixture seen as a mouth-watering contest for the clinical finishers in this match.

Our Tip: Both Teams to Score @ $1.78

Brighton and Hove Albion vs. Chelsea

A new-look Chelsea side will travel to Brighton on Tuesday, September 15 at 5:15am.

Chelsea have flown into title contention after signing a plethora of talent, costing Frank Lampard a total of $362 million (AUD). If all of Chelsea’s new star names are to line-up against the Seagulls, it could be an ugly opening affair for Socceroo goalkeeper Maty Ryan and Brighton. German stars Timo Werner and Kai Havertz might just have a field day at the Amex on debut, but Brighton’s back-four will welcome English young gun Ben White into the Premier League for the first time to match the threat. Brighton have managed just one win in their history against Chelsea, coming 77 years ago. However, they did hold the Blues to a 1-1 draw at home last season, so there is some promise after all. Hard to see Chelsea drop points, but there’s plenty of unknown about this new side.

Our Tip: Chelsea Win @ $1.61
