BENDIGO – RACE 3 2400m 14:10 AEST
VELLASPRIDE ($2.20)
A little bit of a noted bridesmaid but gets a great chance to score a win here. Last two starts has lost by a combined 0.3L at this distance but today should be able to control the race from in front and that looks key. Last prep notched up four consecutive seconds before breaking through and confident he can do so again here.
RANDWICK – RACE 3 1550m 14:35 AEST
RANCHO NOTORIOUS ($3.40)
Tipped the favourite Leningrad here last week at $11 and he ran a strong second, just finding one too good in Miss Einstein. Despite that, I’m giving Rancho Notorious the nod here on the back of an impressive last start victory at the same level. He is moving through the grades nicely and possesses strong upside.
RANDWICK – RACE 4 1800m 15:10 AEST
DUCHESS OF LENNOX ($2.60)
Backing McDonald in here for a race-to-race double (provided he salutes on Rancho Notorious) with the likes of this Waller trained runner who is dropping back in class after 2 consecutive narrow defeats. 2 starts back finished 1.5L within Mapmaker which is good form for this race. Should appreciate the extra distance and third up looks ideal.

RANDWICK – RACE 6 1400m 16:20 AEST
AVON RIVER ($11)
Last start was well beaten by Miss Einstein at Warwick Farm but Miss Einstein absolutely ate up the mud and her nearest rival that day was some 7L away. She subsequently went on to beat the earlier tip Rancho Notorious in her following start, which should provide a good yardstick for this. Avon River on the other hand, has yet to run again since but drops back in class here (also ran at Group 3 level the start prior) and most importantly gets back to dry ground. Looks a talented horse and Nash on board is another tick.
