SANDOWN – RACE 1 1500m 15:20 AEDT
BEAU MEC ($2.60)
Beau Mec lines up a nine start maiden but looks well poised to break that status in the first race of the twilight Sandown meeting. The 4YO gelding has been good in both of his runs this prep off a long spell; he’s finished a narrow second in both and should be rock hard fit here third up. Looks to get the run of the race behind the leaders and should be hard to beat.
SANDOWN – RACE 4 2400m 17:05 AEDT
POUR VOUS ($2.30)
Pour Vous looks supremely talented and prior to last start had showcased his ability to run a strong 2400m and in fact, even further in his overseas starts. Was second up last start at this distance and absolutely romped home, taking over at the 400m and scoring by 5.5L. With the right run he should prove far too strong for this field late.
SANDOWN – RACE 6 1300m 18:15 AEDT
MUSWELLBROOK ($4.80)
Brings solid Sydney form into this race, which looks fairly weak, with most of the runners coming out of weaker grade than this. Muswellbrook has been in solid form this prep, scoring first up at Bairnsdale and third last start at Rosehill behind Sausedge. Should appreciate the drop in grade here and expecting a solid run.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
SANDOWN – RACE 8 1400m 19:15 AEDT
AMBITIOUS GEM ($9.00)
Was fairly plain first up during her last prep but following that run she quickly jumped up to harder grade and performed admirably, finishing 2.6L away in the Leilani Final. Her first up run at Moe this prep was solid and she can take great improvement from that run. Catching Beams should be set a suitable pace in front and she can storm home late.
