Knocking on the door for a win after two consecutive second placings. Could have scored on debut but was narrowly edged out at Cranbourne, before being beaten a length by Influential Jack (who jumps a short favourite in the following race). Can get off the mark with a win here.
CANTERBURY – RACE 5 1100m 15:45 AEST
LEAVE ME OUT ($2.70)
Despite the name, we won’t be ‘Leaving him out’ of our best bets today. Should be raring to go here after a solid first up run in the worst ground at Randwick about a month ago. Was resuming there after a long spell and has trialled brilliantly since. Drops back in class here and looks very hard to beat.
SANDOWN – RACE 7 1400m 16:30 AEST
TOO GOOD TOO HARD ($2.40)
Looks to be a talented horse in the making, scoring a brilliant win on debut before going for a short spell. She then resumed here last time out and narrowly went down to Ray’s Dream at a similar grade to this. She should improve second up and prove extremely hard to beat here.

HANAKI WARRIOR ($15.00)
Interesting run of form for this Stanaway trained Gelding who finally scored his first win after 38 career starts last time out. Prior to that he had scored six 2nd placings out of his last seven runs, proving that persistence pays off! Goes up in class here but has been racing well and should put in another solid run here.
