BLUEY’S BEST BETS - 26/08/2020
BLUEY’S BEST
- SAPPHIRE CROWN ($3.30)
Looks to have great upside here after a strong all-the-way performance at Sale last start, where he scored by just under a length. He was only second up there and was able to improve off his first up run, where he finished third. With only three career starts, he has an upward trajectory and can use his two solid runs this prep to improve off.
- PEGGY SELENE ($2.90)
Tipping Jerle won’t be fully wound up here on the rain-affected track, which provides Peggy Selene a great chance to score back-to-back wins. She was strong last start at this track over Diesel ‘N’ Dust, sitting on the speed and prevailing late. Her only go on Heavy was a narrow second, so there shouldn’t be any issues there. Looks a solid bet.
- CAMPESE ($3.50)
Kingsheir jumps the favourite here and looks talented, but he’s certainly not unbeatable, especially after being rolled as a $1.50 favourite last start. Easy Campese had no troubles last start - he won by a cool six lengths last start at Goulburn on a bog track. He jumps up in class but looks more than capable.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- IN LIGHTEN ME ($10)
In Lighten Me failed last start at Rosehill, but looks competitive here, dropping back in grade and also facing an improving track. She won two starts back at a similar grade and has trialled well recently in preparation for this. Draws a positive gate here and can settle just off the leaders back. Wouldn’t shock to see her in the finish here.
