DOOMBEN – RACE 4 1110m 14:53 AEST
PINNACLE STAR ($1.95)
Looks a talented horse in the making, sporting an official record of 4: 3-0-1 during his short career. His only loss came when he was extremely green in the straight but that seems to have been rectified now. Was first up last start and scored a brilliant win when 2nd last on the rail at the turn before weaving through to score a brilliant win. Should be able to get to the middle of the track and prove hard to beat.
CRANBOURNE – RACE 5 2080m 15:20 AEST
SILENT COMMAND ($3.40)
Whilst the second favourite Meteor Light is coming off an arrogant 5.5L win last start, I think Silent Command possesses far more upside here. Has seemingly struck a run of form this prep, finishing in the top 2 to begin her prep before scoring a win at Murray Bridge. Was up in class last start and finished within a length of the winner. Can keep the good form going here.
CRANBOURNE – RACE 7 1200m 16:30 AEST
STREET ICON ($4.40)
Has a terrific record at this level, with her only failures coming up against a superior class. Finished well back last start but a drop back to BM70 class here should do the trick. Favourite Raktoff has been racing well but will find this jump in class tough. Zahra should be able to give this a good steer and should be right in the finish here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
CRANBOURNE – RACE 4 1600m 14:45 AEST
STAROUZ ($8.00)
Has taken a few runs to get going this prep, likely due to returning on a Heavy track first up and then a Soft track second up. Comes up on a soft track again here but I think he should be nearing full fitness. Comes back down in class here and Teo Nugent claims 2kg. Looks one of the main chances at a nice price.
