CANTERBURY RACE 3 – 14:35 AEST
- LADY HIGHLY ($4.60)
The lightly raced Lady Highly improved when jumping out to middle distances last prep, scoring two wins at the end of her prep at 2100m. She follows a similar preparation here, jumping to 1900m third up. Really liked the way she charged to the line last start on the Heavy at Canterbury, which she faces here again. Third up and fitter, should go well.
- WRITE ENUFF ($3.50)
Extremely consistent mare who finally broke the bridesmaid tag last start at Sale, scoring a narrow victory to break a long run of second and third placings, which extended back to last prep. She looks to get an ideal run here behind the leaders and there’s no reason she can’t continue her top form and win again.
CANTERBURY RACE 6 – 16:20 AEST
- LILLEMOR ($2.30)
This field has been decimated by scratchings, leaving it to only six runners and at the mercy of the O’Shea trained Lillemor. In-form apprentice Louise Day can take the filly to the front with little pressure here and control the race. She handled the wet nicely last start and can do the same again here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- SHARKBRIGHT ($13)
Doesn’t win out of turn but there’s a case for him here today. There looks to be a hot tempo up front in the race which could suit the get back style of Sharkbright. He returned to form nicely last start at Seymour, finishing second, despite racing wide. Fitter here today off that run. If the leaders get into a speed battle up front, that could bring him into the picture.
