BLUEY’S BEST BETS – 02/11/2019
ROSEHILL – RACE 1 1400m 12:05 AEDT
FARETTI ($2.90)
Looks like a very talented horse but still does a bit wrong in his races. Was brilliant first up, scoring by 2.5L over Bondi Blue in dominant fashion, however failed to find last start when a short price in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes. Raced keenly that day and was likely a little flat second up. Waterhouse & Bott have backed him up this week and I’m confident he can bounce back and score another victory here.
FLEMINGTON – RACE 2 2000m 14:20 AEDT
FLIT ($2.40)
It was grim viewing for Flit backers last start with the talented Godolphin runner bottled up on the rail for the entire straight before finally getting out late to score by the narrowest of margins. There was a lot of merit in that run, she was unsuited by the slow tempo and was luckless during the straight. Up to 2000m for the first time but confident she will take it all in her stride.
ROSEHILL – RACE 8 1300m 17:00 AEDT
PIERATA ($2.80)
Pierata is fourth up here after putting together an extremely solid prep which has seen him finish no further than 1.6L away in any of his runs. Was far too strong two starts back in the Group 2 Shorts before taking part in The Everest in his most recent run. Struggled to find a run for part of the straight but still managed to surge late to finish within a length and a half. Faces a much easier field here and the extra distance is no problem.

FLEMINGTON – RACE 1 1200m 11:45 AEDT
DEPLOY ($21)
Early start for Blue-lievers, with our first race kicking off at Headquarters at 11:45am AEDT. Going with the frontrunning Deploy to kick off the day. Hasn’t scored a win for a while but has been racing consistently well, particularly last start when second to Baccarat Baby. There doesn’t look to be a lot of pressure in this race and Deploy can lead from in front and control the race. Looks a decent chance at odds.
