The regular season is coming to a rapid conclusion with most teams having only six or seven games remaining. There are several games on Thursday’s slate with playoff implications that could shape the post-season.
San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors
The one seed may be slightly out of reach for the Spurs, but they are locked into the two seed in the West as they approach the playoffs.
The Warriors, meanwhile, are headed for the play-in tournament but are dealing with a long injury list. Jimmy Butler is out for the season, Steph Curry has been sidelined for two months, and several other key players are also unavailable for this matchup.
LEG 1 - Pat Spencer Over 16.5 PRA
The Warriors are heavily undermanned, which means Pat Spencer should see solid minutes in a starting role.
In games without Curry, Butler, Porzingis, Horford and Melton, Spencer has averaged 12.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists across four games.
Minutes are the key factor. In the 11 games where Spencer has played 28 or more minutes this season, he has averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists, covering this PRA line in all 11 games.
LEG 2 - De’Aaron Fox 15+ Points
It’s been an underwhelming scoring season for Fox by his standards, but this is a good opportunity for him to find some form heading into the playoffs.
He has failed to score 15+ in his last four games but had reached that number in the nine games prior to that stretch.
Fox also averages 21.3 points per game against Golden State this season.
LEG 3 - Keldon Johnson 10+ Points
Keldon Johnson has been one of the form bench players in the league and is now a strong favourite for Sixth Man of the Year.
He is averaging 21.2 points across his last five games and has scored double figures in seven of his last nine games.
Same Game Multi
Spencer Over 16.5 PRA / Johnson 10+ Points / Fox 15+ Points = $3.75
VALUE BET - Pat Spencer 6+ Assists @ $3.80
In the games where the Warriors have been missing multiple key players, Spencer has taken on more playmaking responsibility.
He has recorded six or more assists in three of the four games without those core players, including a 13-assist game against Miami.
He also averages 6.9 assists per 36 minutes this season, and with increased minutes likely again, the price looks very appealing.
