Saturday NBA Tips – Booker Leads Charge as Suns Roll Into Atlanta

We are at the halfway point of the NBA season, with teams starting to make their move ahead of the All-Star break. Can the Hawks resurrect their season, or will the Suns record another surprise win?

Phoenix Suns @ Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are in shambles. They made the Trae Young trade, which was good in theory, but the CJ McCollum fit isn’t great, they’re unable to defend anyone and, as a result, they’ve won just one of their last five.

Phoenix continues to surprise on the other hand. They’ve won 12 of their last 16, with Booker playing a key role in that run without needing to completely dominate.

Can they make it 13 from 17 when they head to Atlanta?

LEG 1 - Grayson Allen Over 13.5 Points

Averaging 16.3 points per game this season, Grayson Allen has been instrumental to Phoenix’s success.

Allen has covered this line in six of his last eight games, including his last five, and although Jalen Green is back for Phoenix, I think that probably cuts into the minutes of Collin Gillespie and Royce O’Neale.

LEG 2 - Mark Williams 8+ Rebounds

Williams has been rebounding well for the Suns recently, averaging 8.8 per game across his last 15.

He’s hit 8+ rebounds in 11 of those 15 games, including four of his last five.

Atlanta is undersized and concedes rebounds to centres 12% above league average over the last month. Mark Williams double-double incoming.

LEG 3 - Devin Booker 20+ Points

Super consistent and reliable. Devin Booker is averaging 25.3 points per game this season and, since returning from a short injury layoff, he’s been a safe SGM kicker for 20 points.

Booker has hit 20+ points in six of his last eight games and, with Atlanta’s defence in all sorts, he should find another 20 here.

Same Game Multi

Booker 20+ Points / Allen Over 13.5 Points / Williams 8+ Rebounds = $3.60

Value Bet

Mark Williams Double Double @ $2.90

As mentioned earlier, the big man is playing well for Phoenix lately and this Atlanta matchup is a favourable one for centres.

Jock Landale just recorded a double-double against the Hawks last start and isn’t a big rebounder, while Myles Turner went for 14 and 8 despite not being known for his work on the glass.

Williams has posted double-doubles against the Heat and Grizzlies recently and looks a strong chance to do it again here.
