One of the games of the week has to wait until Tuesday morning when the Buccaneers and Lions clash. Get your popcorn ready for Goff vs Mayfield. Here are my NFL same game multi tips for this one.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-1) at Detroit Lions (4-2)
Tampa are sitting nicely at 5-1 and leading the NFC South division. QB Baker Mayfield is playing at a high level, ranking 4th in the league for passing yards and has thrown just 1 interception this season. He's leading the Bucs attack to the 6th best scoring offence in the league with 27.5 ppg. On defence, they rank 5th in the NFL for rushing yards allowed so that will be a key matchup with the Lions.
After a 30-17 loss against the Chiefs in Week 6, the Lions will be looking to get back on track when they face the Bucs at home. Detroit are 2-0 at home this season with big wins over the Bears and Browns. But they'll know the Bucs pose a tougher challenge. QB Jared Goff is leading the NFL with 14 passing TD's this year and his battle with Baker will be one to watch, that's for sure.
Leg #1 - Buccaneers +10.5
For a safe start to this multi, let's take the Bucs to cover a pretty generous line. They come into Detroit red-hot at 4-1 and can likely keep up with the Lions scoring power. Baker Mayfield is in great form and should enjoy facing this Lions defence that has struggled to keep points off the board. Tampa are 6-1 when they hit the road and 8-3 when they play the Lions at this stadium.
Leg #2 - Over 52.5
With two of the best QBs in the game, this should be an old-fashioned shootout. The numbers say it should go over 52.5 pts too. Tampa are scoring 27 points per game (6th in the NFL) and the Lions are 2nd best scoring team (31.8). Both sides also give up points, around 25 per game. Looking at the total trends, the Over is 4-1 in the Bucs last 5. The Lions are 8-4 against the Over dating back to last season.
Leg #3 - Rachaad White Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Rachaad White is coming off 3 TD's in just his last 2 games. He usually gets around 10 carries per game and that has increased in the last 2 weeks. He comes off 14 and 17 carries in his last 2 games, which has resulted in 3 rushing touchdowns. He's also getting more looks in the passing game and that bodes well for an expected high scoring affair this Tuesday.
