Philosopher looked good on debut, running quick time out in front & controlling the race to score by 0.2L over Jewellery. That was just his first outing at the races, so he will take great improvement from that run. He looks like one to follow and should be able to take care of this field easily.
- JEWELLERY ($4)
Sticking with the Philosopher form lines in race 2 with Jewellery; she was also excellent on debut after being a touch slow away. She settled 5-6L away and chased hard, but came up marginally short of Philosopher, with both of them running strong time. She might be better over a touch further but has race day experience now and should prove tough to beat here.

- NISHIKORI ($12)
Nishikori has proven to be a relatively talented gelding in his short career, winning twice from just nine starts and finishing in the money in a further three of those. He resumed last start at this track but was dreadful as a $5 chance, however, he was found to be lame post race. I’m willing to forgive that run and I’m backing him to bounce back here.
