- SUR LA MER ($5)
Looks to be a fairly open race here but I’m siding with Sur La Mer for the Berry/Waller combination. She was a narrow second two starts back at Randwick and followed that up with an unlucky run at Warwick Farm the next start. Looks ready to win now and with the right run here, she should be right in the finish.
- TOOMUCHTOBEAR ($2.15)
Toomuchtobear tackles this race third up today and looks primed to put in a big performance, albeit up in grade. The 4-year-old gelding has proven to be a winning commodity in his short career, scoring four wins from just 9 runs to date. He scored a solid win first up this prep & finished second last start, despite overracing. Looks a great chance here.
- CANASTA ($5.50)
Canasta looks a great chance here at a nice price; the bold front-runner will be in front for a long time & it’s just a question of whether he will fend off the chasers in the straight. He looks to face little competition for the lead, so he should be able to coast along at his own merit here. He’s rock hard fit now & I’m willing to take my chances on him here.

MOONEE VALLEY RACE 4 – 14:25 AEDT
- SWELTER MAGIC ($10)
Looks to be a battle between Swelter Magic and Saving for the early lead in this staying affair. I think Swelter Magic should be able to secure a prime position either way & certainly has claims here, being a previous winner in this grade. This looks to be an easier field than what she has been up against in her recent races & stepping out past 2200m for the first time makes her an intriguing runner. If handles the distance, she could be one to beat here.
