NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 18 21/22 | BlueBet

Dallas Cowboys (11-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (9-7)

A shock home loss against the Cardinals last week will mean this is must-win game for the Cowboys to avoid a road playoff game next week. Despite their performance against Arizona, they'll be confident against the Eagles. They won the earlier clash against Philadelphia this season 41-21 and haven't lost against an NFC East opponent this season (5-0). One of the keys to this matchup will be their defence against dual-threat QB Jalen Hurts and the Eagles running game. Dallas struggled with an out of form Kyler Murray last week so they'll be looking for an improvement in this area.

Philadelphia sealed up a playoff spot with a crucial 20-16 win over Washington last week. They've won 7 of their last 9 games down the stretch so it's been a great comeback after a poor start where they had won just 2 games in the first 7 weeks. While they haven't played a lot of good teams over the last month, the Eagles have been a tough opponent on their home turf. For example, they've played in close home losses against the likes of the Chiefs and Bucs this season. They've also won the last 2 meetings at home against Dallas and if they're looking for an upset, it will start with their offence through Jalen Hurts. They are the #1 ranked team in the NFL for rushing yardage and if their defence can slowdown the Cowboys offence, they'll be able to play to their strengths.

This is a big test for the Eagles as their recent schedule hasn't seen them face a playoff team for a while. However, with both teams locked in for a playoff spot, there's a chance that starters will get rested. So we have to like the Under, which is also trending between the two teams in Philadelphia. The Under has saluted in 5 of the last 6 meetings and Dallas also holds a 5-0 Unders record on the road.

Stadium Record

The Eagles are 3-1 in their last 4 home games. Dallas has lost the last 2 in Philadelphia but have won 6 of the last 9.

Head to Head Record

In this fierce divisional rivalry, the Cowboys beat the Eagles in late September 41-21 and they've won 6 of the last 10 meetings.

Best Bet

Under 42.5 = $1.94

San Francisco 49ers (9-7) at Los Angeles Rams (12-4)

The 49ers season is pretty much on the line against the Rams as they look to lock up the last remaining NFC wildcard playoff spot. Basically, if the Saints lose to the Falcons, the 49ers will make the playoffs. However, the 49ers would definitely rather seal the spot themselves. They come off a comfortable 23-7 win over the Texans, which was expected. Without Jimmy Garoppolo, Trey Lance got the start at QB and played well against an inexperienced defence. However, he will face a much tougher task against the Rams elite pass rush. So they'll need to find success in the running game and the good news is that Elijah Mitchell shrugged off injury last week to carry the ball 21 times on his way to 119 yards.

Meanwhile, the Rams are 12-4 and can lock in the #2 seed in the NFC with a win. They come into this game having won 5 on the trot but we definitely feel they can play better, especially Matt Stafford. He has thrown a total of 5 interceptions in their last 2 games. But luckily, the Rams have a great defence and Sony Michel has been a great pickup at running back. Not to mention, Cooper Kupp and his 1829 receiving yards (career high). He can always be relied upon when needed in what has been a breakout year for the wideout.

The 49ers have a nice recent record against LA and with Matt Stafford turning the ball over, that always keeps the opposition in the game. So we do like the road underdog as the 49ers have covered in 4 of their last 5 games against the Rams.

Stadium Record

The Rams have won 5 of their 7 home games this season. The 49ers beat the Rams 23-20 at this venue last season.

Head to Head Record

San Francisco has enjoyed a 7-3 record against the Rams since 2016 and they won the earlier season meeting 31-10.

Best Bet

San Francisco 49ers +4.5 = $1.91

Los Angeles Chargers (9-7) at Las Vegas Raiders (9-7)

After back to back losses, the Chargers kept their playoff hopes alive with an important 34-13 win over Denver. They now face a must-win game against the Raiders in Las Vegas. With the WR combination of Williams and Allen back in action, the Chargers offence got off to a fast start against Denver last week and Justin Herbert enjoyed it too. He was coming off 2 interceptions against the Texans but returned to form with 2 touchdown passes and no turnovers. He also dominated the Raiders in Week 4 this season with 3 touchdowns so he'll be looking to produce a similar output as the Chargers vie for a playoff spot.

It's hard to not like this Raiders after all the adversity they've faced this season. That includes sacking head coach Jon Gruden, Henry Ruggs DUI and Darren Waller has been injured for the last few months. Despite all that, they've won 3 games in a row and come off a huge 23-20 road win over the Colts. One of the bright spots in this season has been Hunter Renfrow. He caught a late touchdown last week and has been a reliable target in this offence for Derek Carr. While they have struggled to win games in Las Vegas this season, the motivation to win for a playoff spot will be at it's highest.

The NFL couldn't dream of a better way to end the regular season as a divisional clash will likely decide the last spot in the AFC playoff race. Ultimately, picking a winner is a tough bet as this should be a close game. So we do like the chances of a high scoring affair. The Chargers have gone 5-0 against the Over in their last 5 games and it's also 13-6 on the road. Meanwhile, Las Vegas are 11-5 against the Over on their home turf.

Stadium Record

The Raiders have lost 4 of their last 6 at home. The Chargers are 1-0 at this venue after a 30-27 win last season.

Head to Head Record

Los Angeles won the earlier season meeting 28-14 and have won 6 of the last 10.
